Recent years have been tumultuous for U.S. business owners, with economic uncertainties forcing many enterprises to make tough budget cuts and to slash operational costs. According to a recent article from Business 2 Community, many business, especially small businesses, are cutting their marketing budgets, in particular decreasing their spending on social media, blogs and SEO.

As the article points out, though, this is misguided thinking: For smaller companies, in particular, social media, blogs, etc. offers maximum bang for buck. It provides businesses with a chance to reach a wide audience, while having to spend relatively little money. Business 2 Community suggests that social marketing represents a field in which small businesses can do a lot with a little, if only they think strategically about their social media, blogging endeavors.

But how can small businesses use social media, blog marketing effectively, without blowing a big hole in their budgets or going overboard on the man hours? One step offered is to designate one employee whose job is to keep an eye on the company’s social media accounts. By officially choosing a “social media manager” within the enterprise, companies can ensure efficiency; someone will manage the social media accounts, and nobody else needs to worry about it.

The article in Business 2 Community also advocates for the careful selection of social media platforms. Small business may get a lot more mileage out of Twitter than Instagram, for example—and it is important for companies to identify the channels that work best and spend their advertising dollars there, rather than throw money into channels that simply are not proving as effective.

EndlessLeadz.com is committed to helping small businesses generate big buzz, through the savvy use of social media, blogs and like platforms—and we are passionate for working within your budget.
